Our Story
TownWebsite started with a simple frustration: our town's website was outdated, expensive, and barely functional. Residents couldn't find meeting minutes. The calendar was always wrong. Permit applications were paper forms you had to pick up at the town office.
So we built something better. A modern, fast website with real functionality — online permits, searchable meeting minutes, a working events calendar, and a document library that actually made sense. The town clerk could update everything herself without calling IT.
Then we looked around. Every small town in Maine had the same problems. And most were paying $2,800 or more per year to vendors like Catalis and GovOffice for websites that looked like they were built in 2008 — with multi-year contracts and annual price increases.
